Simple limited palette but makes an impact. Monochrome is the use of various tones of one color. Duotone is using various tints of two colors.

2. 3D Design
The use of 3D objects with illustrations, photos, videos, etc. 3D design isn’t exactly new, but it’s been getting more and more popular; especially with more modern software capabilities.

3. 3D Typography Design
Typography design in 2020 was very popular and different designers experimented with typography very creatively. This year is no different, designers are going to utilize tangible typography more than ever in 2021.

4. Cartoon Illustrations in Design
Cartoon illustrations have been on the trends list for years. They can be adapted into any design to meet any mood and convey any ethos the designer wants. The flexibility of cartoon illustrations alone is a massive tool for designers to continue to utilize in 2021.

5. Simple Geometric Shapes in Design
Last year, designers utilized a lot of abstract shapes in their design. This year, the simplistic geometric shapes are going to make a comeback. Their rigid, hard-edged geometric shapes can make simplistic designs more confident.
