Facebook and Instagram ads
On Facebook and Instagram, the most popular placement options are the feeds and stories. Other placement options are available as well, but when you are designing your ads we recommend following these guidelines.
For news feed ad placements, follow these guidelines.

Aspect ratio: 1.91:1 to 4:5 for images without a link, 1.91:1 to 1:1 for images with a link
Recommended resolution: at least 1,080 x 1,080px
Text on image: text may cover no more than 20% of the image
For video ads, follow these guidelines.
Aspect ratio: 9:16 to 16:9, we highly recommend vertical videos for Instagram
Recommended resolution: the highest resolution available within the file size and ratio limits
File size: max 4GB
Video length: at least 1 second and max 240 minutes, the recommendation is less than 15 seconds long
Sound: optional but recommended
For Stories ads, follow these guidelines.
Aspect ratio: 9:16 and 16:9 to 4:5, full screen vertical 9:16 is the best format
Leave roughly 14% (250 pixels) of the top and bottom of the design free from text, logos, or other key creative elements to avoid covering them with the profile icon or call-to-action.
Video size: max 4GB
Video length: max 15 seconds. If your video is longer than that it can be broken up to separate screens each 15 seconds long, the maximum length is four 15-second screens so one minute total.
